PJP

Grandpa used to take us in the trailer of the lawn mower for walks. It was the most exciting thing until we had to stack wood in it and couldn't ride anymore because it was full. Then we would chase him back to the house.

The old Fellowship days. I wish I had heard him sing more. Someone once said to me years ago that he had a voice that could bring anyone to tears, and change peoples lives. It was true. If you were there for their 50th anniversary, he sang 'When Your Old Wedding Ring was New' for Grandma, and even though him and I hadn't had much practice, and it was a little messy, it was the most beautiful song I have ever heard. He was always coming over asking me to play lines of his choir songs with him to practice- when he really didn't need to practice. He was just a natural.

One time at the cottage, we were sitting on the back deck, and someone noticed that there were two dragonflies mating in grandpa's hair. Maris said, 'at least they have privacy.'
He had famous hair.

Thank you for all of your support, understanding, and words of encouragement.
If you haven't heard or seen on facebook through my family, there will not be a service at this time. You know them. They don't like to have a fuss made over them. So in the spring, around his birthday we will be having a celebration of his life (with loads of tea) for anyone to drop in. There will be more details in the future.

I'm going to drink more tea.
I love you Grandpa.
