Sorry for a Sad Post.

Just missing him today. For some reason I thought it would hurt less with time.

We Just Walked for a Really Long Time

Hi. Update on my life.
We decided to go on a spontaneous hike today. One of my projects was to do a series on location about something that is overlooked in the city. I was planning on doing hiking trails or parks or something, so I thought- let's do a hike. Right now.

Here's the route I picked. CLICK HERE

We started at Victoria Park Station, and ended at the DVP and Queen.

I texted our buddies, and it was settled that we would leave in an hour (4:30), and that it would take about 2.5 hours if we were quick. In reality we left around 5, and we finished at about 8 or 8:30 because we dawdled, and ate banana bread on the way.

It was fun. And I wanna do it again. It feels good to exercise a lil! Although my hips are complaining.
But yeah- I want to find more hikes to do in Toronto. I was a little disappointed with this one. After Algonquin last week, it felt really lame when there were signs warning you of water on the path, or that they painted all the cracks in the road yellow so you wouldn't break your mother's back or somethin. So I don't think I'll do my project on it. But it was fun anyway!

Anywho. That's my spiel for tonite.

Peace.

I'M BACK

Hi! I'm back... kind of.

I say kind of because I'm in the middle of a few projects and ideas I want to share on here, but not quite ready to do it. So this post is basically to say- I'm still here, but I'm just a really boring person right now.

I went on a canoe trip over reading week with Aj's mum Sue, and his sister Sally. It was a blast, and it was really cold and wet. But a super adventure. I'm waiting for the pictures to be developed to write about it - so you'll just have to wait til then.

In other news, I have to dress up like a dead celebrity for Halloween, and since I'm lazy and saw a DIY for this a long time ago, I have decided to dress up like Bjork when she wore her swan dress. I'm gonna make it- so I'm going shopping today. I'll keep you posted about that project.

Here is the original DIY: ABM: Bjork Swan Dress

In the meantime here are some pictures from the past two weeks or so:

...

I started writing this on Aj's computer because mine has a virus. But all my pictures are on my computer so I switched over. And there's boobs, and things for sale, and games that look really un-fun floating around my screen. Anyone know how to get rid of this junk? I didn't do any maintenance on this laptop ever. I didn't have any anti-virus software, or nothing, for 5 years. And now it decides to have a virus. Aj made me get anti-virus stuff, but it didn't save my poor little 'puter.

Anywho: pictures.

This is Vinnie with a giant sunflower.

THANKSGIVING at the cottage!

Jack and Jingle.

Before I showered when we got back from the trip. Nice.

A little picture I'm working on on a wood panel Aj made. We'll see how it goes. There's an album on Facebook of a few pictures from the trip but you can find those on my wall!

xoxo.
Hope you guys are having a good week.

Also- I got a few people confused about how to comment on here. You click on the title of the post you want to comment on, and scroll to the bottom. Enter your comment, and choose who to comment as: if none of the options are applicable to you, choose anonymous! And sign it if you want me to know who you are.

Hope that helps, and I hope to see some more comments from now on. Even if you're my grandma and my mom. It's kind of funny that it's mostly my Nanna that comments on my blog- I love it. But let's see some other stuff. k? k.

Hey guys. I've had a long and crazy fun week. We had Devon & Josh over all week, and this weekend was Nuit Blanche. It's hard to believe I posted THIS a year ago! Lots has changed since then.

I keep planning on writing a real post about my life and stuff, instead of where I'm eating, and being sick, and pictures I'm making (although I want to include more art on here), but I keep getting scared to do it. So I might write it down on paper first and let my friends read it before I share it with the world. We'll see how that goes- I SHOULD be studying for midterms right now. But instead,

I'm listening to this right now, it's nice:

Me, Sally, and Sue (Aj's sister & mum), are going on a canoe trip next week. I'm psyched but it's going to be flipping cold.

Anywho- about this week.

Josh & Devon- you may remember some pictures of them:

They went hitch-hiking. From here, to BC, to California, to here, to Newfoundland, and back again. I'm so jealous and excited about it, and I think they're really cool.
They came home on Monday and stayed with us for the week and told us about their adventures, and their plans for the rest of the year.

I love my friends.

We tried to go to Nuit Blanche but made the mistake of assuming everything would be in the same place as last year. So we walked from St George station, down University to Dundas and didn't see a thing. So we went to OCAD to see what they had going on, but it wasn't that great.

So we gave up, and went back to Sally's res and played Cards Against Humanity, Euchre, and Super Smash Bros.
It was fun.

While we were wandering at Nuit Blanche, we found an empty field and a ball, so we had a game of soccer. It was really funny & we must have looked like fools.

Aj and Josh learning how to sew (good skill for bein on the road!).

We went to a show at the Horseshoe Tavern. The band was good, but the venue was crappy.
Aj got a banana thrown at him, and someone poured their beer on my face. Plus it was $6 for a Molson Canadian.... uh no thanks!

We saw Bass Drum of Death: they were really good.

It was also this guys birthday. So haps Vin.

I will keep you posted about some recent projects and stuff too!

HAPPY OCTOBER

Harvest! These are from Sally's garden. How quaint!

Sally is a weiner.

Aj made a litho print of me, it's pretty neat + he's really good at drawing am I right.

I hung out with Grandma all morning on monday. I miss her, and I need to make an effort to visit JUST her more. Because she lives with my parents, I often visit them and her at the same time, but I had such a lovely one-on-one visit with her this weekend. I love her to bits.

Here's a video of her talking about tea. I love it.

On Monday, Devon and Josh (my two fav hitch-hikers), came back to Toronto. That night was also a good-bye party for one of my co-workers at our local dive bar Ruby Tuesdays. It was a lot of fun.

#hippiedrumcircle
We ran out of chairs at some point and started a floor sitting trend and everyone called us hippies.

Bye John!

Aj in the morning looking so fine, and dreamy.

Catching up with the guys, and a potluck to celebrate. I tried to make funnel cakes, but I just lit the kitchen on fire, so Aj made the rest. They were tasty.

In other news, it wasn't beaver fever, it was Crypto. Public health called me today.

I hope you had a good weekend too, and happy October!
